En Septiembre de 1961, Mike Sekowsky se tomó la libertad en Justice League of America #6 de recrear la portada de All Star Comics #42, cuyo autor es Irwin Harsen.

En Diciembre de 1970 Neil Addams se encargó de hacer un merecido homenaje a la obra de Bob Kane, lo cual plasmó en la portada de Batman #227,
la cual se inspira en Detective Comics #31, la cual realizó Kane en Septiembre de 1939.

Publicidad de Leyendecker (c. 1920) vs Batman: Harley Quinn (1999)

El gran maestro pintor de cómics, Alex Ross, también soltó los frijoles en este. Batman: Harley Quinn introdujo a Harley en la continuidad de DC Comics convencional, convirtiéndola efectivamente en su primera aparición. La portada generó varias figuras de acción e innumerables artículos de merchandising. La portada de Alex Ross se ha hecho tan famosa que se le ha rendido homenaje en la película   Suicide Squad  (2016). Pero, por desgracia, esta famosa portada se basa enteramente en el trabajo del maestro ilustrador del art déco JC Leyendecker, específicamente en sus numerosos anuncios para la compañía de ropa Arrow. Leyendecker y muchos de los ilustradores de arte clásico como Norman Rockwell han tenido durante mucho tiempo una influencia duradera en la obra de arte de Alex Ross.

Jerry Robinson was a regular on Batman from the beginning though cover duty did not officially start until later on in the Tec Run and shortly into the Batman title.
The classic cover to the 1942 Batman #14 by Jerry Robinson was later homaged by Jack Burnley in 1947 replacing the yellow of the original with a deep red
(as many if not all the early Catwoman covers were actually on red.) and Penguin with Catwoman.
Some argue that Burnley’s cover is in fact the classic, though I would suggest there are folks who are also not aware that it is in fact an homage.
